South Dakota Prairie Dog Hunt

My friend John Schriever invited me to join him and his crew on this 3 day weekend worth of fun shooting Prairie Dogs in South Dakota. It sure looks like I a lot of fun and I only wish I could have gone.

Tuesday

Amen to this!

It's a Girl!

Well we found out yesterday that we were adding another girl into our household. At first we were a little shocked because Matt and I had both hoped for a little boy to add to our family but Avery couldn't be more excited. The doctor gave her an ultrasound picture of the baby and she was so proud. She loves showing the picture off of her new sister. So Matt will now be outnumbered 3-1 but one day he will have his hunting partner:)

Wednesday

What's for lunch?

So I posted a ton of pictures so you'll have to go to older posts if you want to take it all in:)

So I never take naps because I know if I go to sleep it means Avery thinks she can do what ever she wants. Well this morning I really needed to lay down and I told Avery she just needed to be nice to Morgan, not make her scream and just relax and watch their movie.

Well I hadn't been laying down for very long when I heard Avery eating something. So I walked out to see what she was eating....she had a plate and spoon and on the plate was a pile of toothpaste. She and Morgan had been eating toothpaste.....it was all over their faces....I was pretty grossed out, but i didn't mind the fresh breath. When I tried offering them a real snack...like a fruit roll up and cheese....they refused....Avery said she was full.

Tuesday

Hair Cut

This was Avery's hair length before I cut it....I really chopped her hair....it was a tough job...but I really did not want to spend $20 on her hair....especially when I knew she would not sit still.
This was the first haircut I have ever really given...it was a little scary because I did not really know what I was doing...but it turned out alright.

Seattle

Our wonderful host and hostess. It was so great to see my aunt and uncle and they really spoiled us.

Jess and her cheesier. Jess came to Seattle the same weekend we did and it was fun to meet up with her and spend some time.

Just Relaxing

What did we do before cell phones?
Talking to Avery.....she had just put a bucket on her head and ran into the counter....she was feeling a little tender:)
Matt trying his first Greek food...... ya he loved it. We went to Pikes Market and Matt loved it. It was fun watching them tose those fish around.
Just relaxing.....My Aunt has the most amazing view out her back yard.....
Enjoying the view!

Seattle Folk Festival

The scarf man...he was selling these scarfs....wearing a mesh top and skirt.....I am pretty sure he was higher then a kite.....good entertainment:)
Jenni was our wonderful hostess! She was our tour guide and gave us a great Seattle experience!

Seattle Folk Music Festival

So one of our highlights on our Seattle trip was this Folk Festival. It was really entertaining.....watching people that is. We sat for a few hours and just enjoyed the slightly odd, highly creative...and just plain high....people that were also enjoying this festival. (This was one of the first nice days in Seattle for a long while and we saw many sun burnt bodies...)
This guy was his own Unicorn Nintendo game......he was interesting.
The belly dancers.....they didn't know how to belly dance...I think they just wanted to wear the outfits.
The hillbilly bands...ya the guy in the back has a tattoo on his chin....
And there is nothing like sword fighting in public....ya it's making its comeback!

Seattle

Matt and I went to Seattle for Memorial day weekend. It was a blast....we relaxed, ate delicious foods, thanks to my Aunt Becky she is an amazing cook, and we even had time to take in a Mariners game. It was a great vacation. Thanks to my family for watching Avery!
We had pretty good seats to this game. I think we were like 30 rows up, the view was great, the game was good, but I have to admit that the garlic fries they sell were pretty over powering... everyone sitting by us were eating them and it was a little too much, especially for this pregnant lady. I thought i would forever smell of garlic!

State and Graduation Present

I made this blanket for my baby sister's graduation present. It was the first time I have attempted to make this style of quilt.....I was really nervous it would not turn out...but in the end it looked pretty good. It took me a long time to put it together because I hand stitched some designs into some of the blocks.....but I finished it just in time for her graduation.

This was at state track in Boise. My sister went in four events was a medalist in three....not to shabby. It was really fun to watch her....especially when the weather was amazing!

Props

I never really talk Matt up....just because I don't want him to get a big head:) But he really deserves a little blog time. He has been such a big help lately and has really spoiled me:) For my Mothers Day present he surprised me with an addition to my wedding ring. I have wanted to add a band to my ring for a long time now...but knew it would not be in our budget for a long time. Well Matt took me out for dinner in I.F., he even arranged for a babysitter....then he took me to the mall to pick out my band.

I was totally surprised....he had been saving for this for a long time and I had no idea. Then he suggested I go down to Boise to watch my little sister at state. While I was gone he had new carpet put in our living room and bedroom.

I came home to a new house! Anyway I felt pretty spoiled. He is an awesome hubby and I am so grateful for all that he does for our family. Sorry this post is a little mushy....but to be honest I do have an awesome husband. Thanks Matt!

Poser

Avery is really into posing for pictures lately. She will come out in a funny outfit and say "mom take a picture." Then she has to see what the picture looks like after I take it. Now I can't even get her to take a normal picture....she just posses and makes a funny face....oh well....it makes for some fun photos.
