Swimming

Avery has not had a lot of opportunities to go swimming so we thought we would take a Saturday and invite out friends Adam and Gennifer and their adorable little boy Cole to come swimming with us. I was a little worried Avery would be afraid of the water but she was loving it. She had no fear and wanted to swim on her own and jump off the side of the pool. When she takes a bath she doesn't like the water on her face but for some reason in the pool it doesn't bother her. She would put her face in the water and when she would jump in she would go all the way under. I was so proud of her. I love to swim and now I have a swim partner.

Getting Avery ready for church is not the easiest task. She hates to get dressed and to get her hair done.
Unfortunately once we get to church she messes up her cute hair, takes out her head band and gets juice all over her dress. Oh well!

Avery and Daddy and of course Avery's best buddy holding on to her neck. He is a monkey but Avery insists on calling him bunny. We have tried to get her to call him monkey...but she refuses, so we have gave up and now we call him bunny or buddy...because he is her best buddy.

Easter Dresses

This picture is a little fuzzy but I love this face. this is her classic funny face...when she is being silly.

Avery's Prize and Easter Morning

Avery won an easter basket full of toys and goodies at the easter egg hunt. There was even a Barbie and some makeup in there...she was really excited about it but I think we will save them for times when her older cousin Samantha comes over.
Grandma and Grandpa Berry got her this huge bunny that she can sit and play one. She loves it!
This was Easter morning. Avery was really excited to see what the EAster Bunny left her.
She dove right into the chocolate. She also got an Elmo book and we took it to church for her to play with and Avery time she turned a page she would yell...Memoo..(which means Elmo) and Abby!! (Abby is also a Sesame Street character) She was being really loud and people started to watch us. So we took the book away and had her sit on Matt's lap. We thought she would be quieter if she was with Daddy but that was not the case. She started giving him kisses...and then more kisses and then the kisses got really long and she would make noises and turn her head side to side like some soap opera kiss. We all were trying so hard not to laugh ...which brought even more attention, and we could not get her to stop doing it! After sacrament people would come up to us and ask her where she learned to kiss like that or......say something like...."So she must have learned that from her parents." I was a little embarrassed.

Cold Weather and Giant Bunnies

Avery was a little nervous about the Easter Bunny. She started screaming when he got closer. It was really funny.
But then she calmed down when the Bunny bribed her with an egg. She didn't think he was to bad after that....well she stopped crying.
Avery hunting for eggs. She only found a few of them but one of the eggs was a prizing winning egg.
Being in freezing cold weather and then having to get your picture taking with a giant bunny can be kind of rough on a kid. But Avery did great, hopefully next year we wont have two feet of snow!

Easter Egg Hunt

This was Avery's first Easter Egg Hunt! She loved it...for the first 5 minutes and then her little hands started to freeze. It really isn't much fun trying to find eggs in the snow and freezing cold weather. ( Avery and Matt are in the middle, he is holding her because she was to cold to walk)

Saturday

Avery thought that it would be so fun to wear my shoes around Grandma and Grandpa's house and sniff the air freshener. The last picture is an award that was presented to my parents from Chevron for being with Chevron for 65 years!

Monday

M&M World and Bass Pro Shop

Matt and I got to go to Vegas for a work convention. It was so much fun! We went to a few meetings, played and ate a ton of food. We had the best food there!

The Bass Pro Shop was hooked onto a casino and this casino had a huge tank with tropical fish and a mermaid just swimming around. It was really neat to watch all the fish and how would you like to have this gals job. You just swim around and take pictures with people...not to shabby.

The Mirage

These pictures were inside our hotel. It was a great hotel. We also went to a show in out hotel called LOVE it was a terrific show based on the Beatles music. It was an artistic interpretation of the music along with amazing dancing, wonderful visual effects, and acrobatics.

Argghhh Pirates....Well Kind Of...

We saw a lot of sites in Vegas and a lot of interesting people....some clothed and some not so clothed. We had heard that there was a great pirate show at the Treasure Island Casino. So Matt and I waited for over and hour just so we could watch this unique show. Well it wasn't really what we thought it would be. It was more like a....uhmmm how do I say this...it was more of a pirate hooker show.
We thought this show would be more like a Disneyland performance but....it was very much a Vegas performance. The pirate ladies came out in their fancy undies...I felt bad for them because it was not the warmest night.

There were some pretty neat visual effects...The Pirate ship moved...things blew up...the ship sunk...pirates did flips off them...ohh and ladies danced around with out any clothes...yup that was about it.

The Lights of Vegas

Site Seeing in Vegas

Some of the hotels in Vegas. This one is the Venetian and it has these beautiful canals that run along the inside of the hotel. We really enjoyed seeing some of these amazing hotels. The shopping in these hotels and casinos is just ridiculous.....I have never seen so many expensive stores...like Gucci and all those other fashion stores I can't even spell or pronounce.
