Aunt Lara

Mom, Dad, and Lara came up to visit us and to go to the open house of the Rexburg temple. It was really fun having them and to see how excited Avery was to see them again. She instantly attached on to Lara and wouldn't let her out of her sight. She loves her "LaLa."

Little Mrs. Susie Homemaker

Avery loves to help me cook. She loves wearing an apron and standing on her stool so she can help me in the kitchen.
Avery also likes to pretend to do the dishes. She always brings her stool up to the counter and pretends to wash dishes. Last Sunday she was helping her Daddy do the dishes. I had to take her dress off of her because she was getting it soaked from the dish water.

Chocolate Fudge Bars

Avery has become very independent and loves to do things on her own. I was sharing a fudge bar with her and she wanted to hold it on her own, so I let her. 5 minutes later she was a huge mess. Chocolate was everywhere and I even had to clean it out of her belly button. I think next time she will have to wear a garbage sack to eat one of these again.

Playing in the Snow

I took Avery outside to play in the snow. It took me about 20 minutes to get her in her snow clothes....she lasted about 15 minutes in the cold.
She kept getting claustrophobic in her snow clothes and wanted to take them off, especially her gloves.
Not long after she took them off she realized how cold her hands were and the fun stopped there.
She sat down in the snow and through a fit! I had to drag her back to the house.

Well it has taken me a while to get all these pictures posted on the blog. We had a lot of pictures from Christmas...so to see all of them I think you will have to go back and click on older posts...sorry for not updating sooner.

Just Goofing Around

Avery found this hat in her toy closet and loves wearing it around the house.
Out of all the toys we got her for Christmas she spent half the day playing with this tube that goes to the vacuum. She loves to blow in it and make noise.
Notice the cereal still stuck to her face.

Nelsons being introduced to the gun fire...

Computer nerd turned assassin....
Matt taught Jacob how to shoot a gun and he was hooked.....he wanted one of his own.

Who knew shooting pop cans could be so addicting!

Every mighty hunter needs a pretty coat....with fur....

Christmas @ the Nelson's

Kissing.....leads to.....
biting....Hopefully Avery has learned not to stick her fingers in Zina's mouth!

Christmas at Ericksons

Girls hiding from the boys!
Another baby doll!

Playing with Christmas toys.

One of the reasons we got Avery a dolly was so she could practice being soft and gentile....I am just glad this isn't a real baby.

Christmas at the Berry's

Avery got another baby doll and went right to work feeding it. What a good mommy!
Uhmmm...fitting...
Avery reading to her dollies.

"You'll shoot your eye out!"

Shoes!!!! This was supposed to be my big surprise, but a few weeks before Christmas Avery opened my present from Matt and left the shoes on the floor for me to find. I was sure I would have no surprises this Christmas....until I found this Christmas morning....
A Gun!!!! Matt surprised me with a Ruger 22 with a25 round banana clip and a red dot scope. I don't know who was more excited about it me or Matt....or his little brother Josh.
For christmas I got Matt a Daisy 880. It was his childhood gun and he loved it. Many a bird lost their life to this gun.
Matt as a child with his gun! Little boy's never truly grow up!
Jessica sporting my gun. She looks like a true hunter!...minus the camo.

Christmas continued....

I made Avery a quiet book for church. It took me over 40 hours to make it.....and it wasn't nearly as fascinating as the 5.00 dollar tea set Santa brought her. Oh well...if it helps her to settle down during sacrament...then it has served it's purpose.

I also made a dolly outfit for Avery's dolly to match this dress Santa brought her.
Santa also brought her a new sled with all her snow gear! Now we will have something to do during the long winters up in Tetonia.
